The route
From Leeuwarden you sail via Sneek, IJlst, Sloten, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, Bolsward, Harlingen, Franeker and Dokkum back to Leeuwarden. You can start in any city.
Please note when choosing your boat: this route has a limited headroom for passing under bridges. So when searching for your favourite boat, check whether it is suitable for the Elfstedenroute.
